Brett and I moved in the same church circles for years, and we see eye to eye on many issues. Apart from being the guy who named my cats, we have had some great conversations which I hope have stretched us both in our thinking and faith. He is a friend who isn’t afraid to say it like he sees it, and over the years he has been one of the guys who has called me on being overly critical, and has always reminded me that it isn’t Church I’m mad at, but just some of the stupid ways we distort this great movement.
